Consultation
We always start with a comprehensive oral health assessment, ensuring teeth whitening is a safe and appropriate treatment for you. Our experienced team will look for any concerns – such as cavities or gum irritation – and answer any questions that you may have. Then we apply a protective barrier to your gums and use a specially formulated gel that will ensure that the bleaching agent touches your exposed enamel only for the maximum result and safe outcome.

Next, we'll apply a professional-grade whitening gel that's designed to lift both surface stains and deeper discolouration. The gel is activated using a specialised LED light, and this process may be repeated in short cycles tailored to your aesthetic goals. Your treatment is always customised to your unique teeth and shade history, ensuring noticeable results without overdoing it.

In-chair Whitening Session
No matter the procedure, we always start with a consultation. We will discuss your suitability for whitening and what option best suit your needs and circumstances. If you are suitable for whitening and choose to proceed, we can begin the Philips Zoom! in-chair whitening session which lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Please note: In-chair whitening appointments require a pre-paid non-refundable deposit of $150. In order to hold whitening appointment times, we will need to collect a deposit which will be applied to your treatment total. If you are deemed unsuitable for treatment, this deposit can be credited towards other treatment.

We want our patients to make informed decisions about their treatments, so we focus on transparency and honest expectations.
☀️ Day kits
We encourage our patients to pop in their bleach trays when they’re getting ready/having a shower and let the gel do its magic for the recommended duration and then rinse off with warm water. There are two options:
20 minutes during the day
60 minutes during the day
🌙 Night kits
Night kits are suggested to be worn overnight. We encourage our patients to apply the bleach gel into their trays before they sleep, every night for a consecutive 7-10+ days (or until they are happy with the shade). A days’ break may be taken in between if too much sensitivity is present. Whitening trays should be thoroughly rinsed in the morning.

Appointments for take home kit
As always, we start with a consultation to determine if you are suitable for teeth whitening. If you are suitable and decide to proceed, we will take moulds of your teeth to prepare for your customised trays. Each tray is made in-house and personalised specifically to you - no one else can wear them.
After 3 to 5 days, your trays will be ready for pick up. During pick up, we encourage you to try the trays to ensure perfect fit. You can start the treatment right away. Results may be seen within 7 to 10 consecutive days (with 1 to 2 days break).
After 6 to 12 months, it is recommended to have a general check-up and a whitening assessment.

After 6 - 12 months, it is a good idea to have a general check-up and clean with a whitening assessment. We can discuss the results, and arrange additional bleaching sessions if needed.

Results are immediate and will last for 6-12 months – depending on aftercare.
If you’d prefer an at home teeth whitening kit, our team will conduct a comprehensive in-clinic assessment and develop a customised 3-month supply pack with customised trays & case, as well as sensitive toothpaste to use after treatment. What Causes Teeth Staining & Discolouration?
Teeth staining or discoloration is, in many cases, an outcome of the food and beverages that we consume each day. Staining drinks like coffee, tea, red wine, as well as food and lifestyle factors such as sauces, berries, smoking, and some medications can also contribute to stained teeth.
When it comes to stained teeth, we can categorise stains into ‘avoidable’ and ‘non-avoidable’ factors. The avoidable factors include the food and drinks that we consume, as well as dental hygiene practices. Whilst the non-avoidable factors include genetics, fluoride consumption (usually in water) and medications.
Whether your teeth have lost their lustre through avoidable or non-avoidable factors, Vogue Dental Studios on the Gold Coast will work with you to understand the root cause of stains and develop a customised in-chair or at-home whitening treatment plan.
How Does Whitening Work?
Teeth whitening uses a chemical compound of hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide that is applied directly to the surface of the teeth. When applied to the teeth, the chemicals act as a bleaching agent.
Once the whitening formula is applied to the teeth, our in-clinic treatment uses the Philips Zoom blue LED light to activate the hydrogen peroxide/carbamide peroxide whitening gel. The blue light from the Philips Zoom helps to ‘break apart’ the gel at a faster rate to elicit a chemical reaction that lifts stains from the teeth.
